About the Artist & the Gallery
My name is Dell Cullum. I was born and raised in the Hampton's of Long Island, New York.

I began photography as a hobby during my days in the United States Navy. I progressed with photography over the next 27 years focusing mostly on Wildlife and Nature photography. I'm also very accomplished in photographic fields of Historical, Fire & Rescue, Livestock & Real Estate, Glamour and Intimate photography. I was the historical photographer for the Town of Tuxedo, NY as well as the Mayor's personal photographer. I was the first and only Police, Fire, Rescue and Disaster Photographer for the Rockland and Orange County Fire District of New York State. I created, designed and was sole editor of "Tuxedo On Call Magazine and Website" a monthly firematic magazine viewed worldwide.  I designed photo/video rescue training programs which I instructed to firefighters in New York State. I photodocumented several natural disasters to aid in FEMA related events. I'm a recognized photographer in New York City, credited in the "Here is New York"  book and movie, for photographs I took while present and a working firefighter during the 911 World Trade Tragedy, Sep. 11, 2001 to December 18, 2001. Those pictures and ALL sales proceedings were donated to the Family of Fallen Firefighters Fund, through a Greenwich Village Art Gallery Display and Sale. All my prints were sold. I resigned from the fire service involvment, shut down my business... a week before Christmas and decided to travel around our beautiful country, and then the world, photographing and sharing what I see with as many people I could reach. The extreme pulchritude of nature and the ever present urge to view wildlife so close as too connect with their very souls, has drawn my photographic eye and energy to produce a collection of photos to excite your visual spirit. I hope you enjoy each titiled print and feel the moment of it's creation, as I felt... when each photo was taken. God Bless America, and God Bless ALL.
The Christopher Gallery ?????
"The Christopher Gallery of Photographic Art" is a name that my wife recommended. I knew it was perfect as soon as I said it for the first time. Christopher is my only son (born Sep. 12, 1989), who went to be with the Lord (Jan. 3, 1992) after a courageous bout with Leukemia. He was and always will be the most important person in my life. He taught me two of the most important lessons in life..."Life is Short" and "Family is Forever". He's with me everyday, and everytime I snap the shutter. Therefore, I named my virtual gallery after him... Christopher Dell Cullum.
